When it came time for us to do our save the dates I knew we would do something hockey related. My family is a huge hockey family and so is J's. I grew up watching the Flyers and basically didn't have a choice since my dad grew up with the team as well. He was actually their stick boy when they won the Stanley Cup in the 70's and is currently an off-ice official for the NHL. So you could say that hockey runs in the family. I had this great idea to do a sports themed card and actually got my dad to let us down in the penalty box before a game one night to take a few pics.
So once we did that I had to come up with something clever to put on it. We couldn't just say Save the Date. We were under a lot of pressure as everyone I spoke to said they can't wait for our wedding and they were looking forward to seeing what we do so I knew it had to be cute, creative and clever.

It got a great reaction from all of our friends and family so I knew we were on the right track. There will also be a few hockey touches at the wedding but you will have to wait and see what we have planned. I hope everyone loves it:)
